I’m just kind of shooting in the dark here in case anybody else ran into this problem or knows what the heck is going on.
After a recent Discord update, none of my chats in any of the channels that are mirrored in Discord goes through. I still see them the other way though, and I’m the only one who is experiencing this issue. I’ve gone through all sorts of troubleshooting steps but what I found out is that if I unlink my handle, my messages go through, and as soon as I link my handle back, the messages stop.
It’s got everybody scratching their head since it seems like it’s working fine for everybody else, including those who have handles attached to their characters. Anybody come across this as well? I mean, it’s not a huge issue since I can just tab out of the client and into discord, but I’m lazy and like to stay in one window.
It might be something in your handle profile. I wonder if it’s the image? I notice it’s using an imgur link, which has some kind of redirect to the imgur landing page. Could you try maybe just referencing a raw jpg/png image link as a test? Or ask one of the admins on the game where it’s happening to check the discord log for errors?
Sorry for the delay, it’s been quite the year. I’ve deleted the image, and it still persists. I’m asking the admins to check the logs but, as I said, it’s been quite the year so it may be a little bit before they respond.
No worries. It sounds like something peculiar to your account, but I’m not sure what it might be. You could always make up a char and try it on the Ares test game: mush.aresmush.com Just talk on the discord channel and I’ll be able to check the logs myself.
