Beta V0.44 has actually been out for a bit, but I forgot to announce it. So here it is:
You can upgrade without a restart simply by running upgrade, (resolve any conflicts), load all, migrate and website/deploy in-game (in that order). Future upgrades will be easier, as described in the release notes.
