Part of Ares’ new scenes system lets you automatically capture RP logs to the wiki or the web portal. (Example) Of course, this only works if someone actually starts a scene, which is easy to forget if you’re playing on the public grid.
What’s the best way to make that easier / less forgetful-prone?
Couple ideas occurred to me just randomly brainstorming…
Option 1
Automatically start a scene when someone poses in a public grid room. When they’re done, they can either share and post the scene, or capture the log privately and delete it.
Down side: You have to remember to do something when the scene ends. Possibly overkill.
Option 2
A nag reminder if you’re posing in a public grid room and don’t have a scene going.
Down side: Potentially annoying. Doesn’t really help you with missed poses.
Option 3
Have ‘repose’ be running separately from the scenes system and provide the ability to convert reposes to a scene.
Down side: Now we’ve got two systems - repose and scenes - that interact in potentially confusing ways.
Option 4
Do nothing. We’re big kids, and if we want to use the cool scene stuff we’ll just have to remember to activate it.
What does everyone think? Any of the above sound appealing or terrible? Have a betrer idea?
