I play 95% of the time from a client.
I usually type “where” to see where people are in order to find open scenes to join. This generally works if games have that feature that puts scenes at the top enabled. However, it does not work where everyone in the scene is playing from the Portal. If everyone is on from the portal, it doesn’t show up in “where” at all in the client.
Then there’s the “scenes” command which will show the open scenes that only have Portal players in them, but the “scenes” command spams my screen with 27 other private scenes that I don’t care about including everyone’s text scenes, etc. I only want to see the open ones at the top that I could potentially join.
What I would love is a scenes/open command for the client that would just show me the scenes that are open for players, regardless of whether all the people playing are on the portal or in the client.
