I created a role called “staff” and did “forum/writeroles announcements=staff,admin” - but my staff can’t write to it, only admin.
I also did “forum/readroles admin=admin” - but my staff can still see it.
I might be a dumb. Am I missing a step on this?
It’s not you!
Various commands (including forum posting) are locked to approved characters. Full-fledged admins bypass this lock, but additional staff (apps, coders, builders) do not have this automatically.
To get around this, just use the role/add <name>=approved command to give those additional staff folks the same permissions as approved characters. You’ll probably also want to mark them as player bits with the playerbit command so they don’t show up on the character gallery.
